Kenna Renee Gillooly was born in Tacoma, Washington, into a loving family with three siblings. Her early life was shaped by summers spent with her grandparents in Idaho, where she experienced the beau- ty of both the countryside and city life. As a young child, Kenna found solace in art, drawing almost every day to escape into fantastical worlds of her own creation.
Her passion for art led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Design, where she honed her skills and creativity. However, like many artists, Kenna faced a creative block at times. The COVID-19 pandemic provided her with an unexpected opportunity to rediscover her creative spark. With ample time spent indoors, she dived back into illustrating, and her artistic journey took a new turn when she started posting videos of her paintings and illustrations online, gaining viral success.
Balancing her 9-5 job with her true passion, Kenna dedicates her evenings to her creative work. Painting, sketching, sewing, and writing fill her spare time, bringing her joy and fulfillment. Through her work, she aspires to leave a legacy of bringing joy to families through her books, sharing the same happiness that her beloved cats, Nox and Nova, bring to her.
With a strong dedication to her craft and a determination to share her creativity with the world, Kenna Renee continues to inspire others and make her mark in the artistic community.
